For the past 25 years my passion has been martial arts, plus womens' health and fitness, through years of Wing Chun Kung Fu study with Grandmaster William Cheung, and graduatoin with Sifu David Cheung. Also training for shorter periods in Jiu Jitsu and Naginata.
For the past 15 years I have specialised as an instructor of self defense programs for womens and girls.
In 1998 I was blessed with discovering boxing training with Jim. As a technical boxer ( a bit of a perfectionist ), Jim's personal training sessions are infinetly challenging, physically and mentally. They are always interesting and bring insight into my understanding of the art of boxing, personal fitness and self defence.
Jim's experience is the real deal. He knows what it's like to stand alone with your skills on the line.

I started training with Jim in 1998, when my level of fitness had dropped right down and I was keen to return to some form of self- defence training. Having had a break from it for a number of years. A friend introduced me to Jim's boxing circuit classes. I was very impressed by the way Jim conducted the classes and immediately fell in love with boxing. We asked Jim to teach us boxing and at the same time help us improve our fitness. I have been training with Jim ever since. Training with Jim is the most challenging thing I have ever done in my life. I have been pushed to go beyond what I thought I was capable of and reached a level of fitness which I didn't think was possible at my age. Jim is a perfectionist and is constantly pushing me to improve my skill and my fitness. While always challenging me to push myself further. In this, at times, crazy world we live in it's easy to forget to look after your body and mind. I'm glad Jim is there to remind me about the basic things such as proper nutrition and regular exercise.
I introduced my teenage daughter to Jim and asked him to train her as well. I can not think of a better teacher and role model. We are truly lucky to have Jim as a trainer because he has amazing skills, knowledge and experience and he is a very tough but wonderful teacher and person.

I am 49 years old and Jim has been training me for 3 years. What I like about Jim's training methods is that I am getting exercise and staying fit by 'default'. Just exercising doesn't interest me at all. But through Jim giving me boxing training which is great fun, I am getting a healthy benefit. Jim is very personable which is important because if I don't enjoy what I am doing or who I am doing it with, I won't keep at it.
